Replication package for the dissertation titled "The Influence of Social Information on Norms of Cooperation" by Tillmann Eymess, Heidelberg University. The package includes all replication files for the individual chapters of the dissertation as well as supplementary material. P...

Schwieren, Christiane, 2015, "The gender wage gap in experimental labor markets [Dataset]", https://doi.org/10.11588/data/10050, heiDATA, V1, UNF:5:Fzye6N1Ba0IVMHWhncp+7g== [fileUNF]
We analyze the gender wage gap in experimental markets. Women receive but do not request significantly lower wages than men. This hurts firms, as women react with low effort. Additionally, women tend to react differently than men to wage levels.

These data, code, and documents replicate all analyses in "The Creation of Social Norms under Weak Institutions?" by Florian Diekert, Tillmann Eymess, Joseph Luomba, and Israel Waichman, in the Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (JAERE).

Oechssler, Jörg; Reischmann, Andreas; Sofianos, Andis, 2022, "The conditional contribution mechanism for repeated public goods - The general case [Data & Replication package]", https://doi.org/10.11588/data/ZPTF1X, heiDATA, V1
We present a new and simple mechanism for repeated public good environments. In the Conditional Contribution Mechanism (CCM), agents send two messages of the form, “I am willing to contribute x units to the public good if in total y units are contributed.” This mechanism offers a...

Reischmann, Andreas; Oechssler, Jörg, 2018, "The Binary Conditional Contribution Mechanism for public good provision in dynamic settings - Theory and experimental evidence [Dataset]", https://doi.org/10.11588/data/QHN1KT, heiDATA, V1, UNF:6:oGAQOEsaP2z2MtFReyc6Uw== [fileUNF]
We present a new and simple mechanism for repeated public good environments. In the Binary Conditional Contribution Mechanism (BCCM), every agent's message has the form, “I am willing to contribute to the public good if at least k agents contribute in total.” This mechanism offer...

Kocher, Martin G.; Pahlke, Julius; Trautmann, Stefan T., 2014, "Tempus Fugit: Time Pressure in Risky Decisions [Dataset]", https://doi.org/10.11588/data/10006, heiDATA, V2
We study the effects of time pressure on risky decisions for pure gain prospects, pure loss prospects, and mixed prospects involving both gains and losses. In two experiments we find that time pressure has no effect on risk attitudes for gains, but increases risk aversion for los...

Diederich, Johannes; Eckel, Catherine C.; Epperson, Raphael; Goeschl, Timo; Grossman, Philip J., 2021, "Subsidizing Unit Donations: Matches, Rebates, and Discounts Compared [Dataset]", https://doi.org/10.11588/data/GANTNY, heiDATA, V1, UNF:6:s+6G5GSIETjXF5xQpTpBmg== [fileUNF]
An influential result in the literature on charitable giving is that matching subsidies dominate rebate subsidies in raising funds. We investigate whether this result extends to "unit donation" schemes, a popular alternative form of soliciting donations. There, the donors' choice...

Huck, Steffen; Normann, Hans-Theo; Oechssler, Jörg, 2014, "Stability of the Cournot Process - Experimental Evidence [Dataset]", https://doi.org/10.11588/data/10014, heiDATA, V1
We report results of experiments designed to test the predictions of the best-reply process. In a Cournot oligopoly with four firms, the best-reply process should theoretically explode if demand and cost functions are linear. We find, however, no experimental evidence of such ins...

Schwieren, Christiane; Ceccato, Smarandita; Kettner, Sara E.; Kudielka, Brigitte; Voss, Andreas, 2018, "Social Preferences under Chronic Stress [Dataset]", https://doi.org/10.11588/data/F68JZT, heiDATA, V1
Even though chronic stress is a pervasive problem in contemporary societies and is known to potentially precede both adverse psychological as well as physiological conditions, its effects on decision making have not been systematically investigated. In this paper, we focus on the...

Dürsch, Peter; Oechssler, Jörg; Vadovic, Radovan, 2014, "Sick Pay Provision in Experimental Labor Markets [Dataset]", https://doi.org/10.11588/data/10010, heiDATA, V2, UNF:6:gwZx9SQucrST4uvXCxHw0w== [fileUNF]
Sick pay is a common provision in most labor contracts. This paper employs an experimental gift exchange environment to explore two related questions using both managers and undergraduates as subjects. First, do workers reciprocate generous sick pay with higher effort? Second, do...
