Abstract: |
Cata-condensed heteroannulated tetraarenocoronenes with C2h symmetry have been obtained from three doubly brominated diarenoperylenes. X-ray diffraction showed that the coronenes mostly adopt S-shaped contorted π-planes. The large variety of fused rings in the coronenes′ core allows good control of their photophysical properties and thus their potential use in organic electronics applications. |
